Overview

In an effort to combat plastic pollution in Bilaspur city, the NGO initiated a multifaceted project. The project included the creation and screening of a film, distribution of cloth bags, and organizing workshops in various institutions. The primary goal was to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of plastic and promote sustainable alternatives.

Objectives

Film Production: Create a compelling film highlighting the environmental impact of plastic pollution and the importance of reducing plastic usage.
Cloth Bag Distribution: Silkscreen cloth bags as an eco-friendly alternative to plastic and distribute them among the community to encourage their use.
Paper Bag Initiative: Utilize newspapers to craft paper bags, providing an alternative to plastic bags, and distribute them to the public.
Workshops: Organize workshops in multiple institutions to educate and engage the community on the harmful effects of plastic and the benefits of adopting eco-friendly practices.

Implementation

Film Screening: The NGO produced an impactful film that was screened at community events and public spaces, emphasizing the need for collective action against plastic pollution.
Cloth Bag Drive: Cloth bags were silkscreened with environmentally conscious messages and distributed across Bilaspur, promoting the use of reusable bags.
