Libra Welfare Society, in collaboration with the Community Radio Association, proudly presents the "Meri Mati Mera Desh" project. This initiative is designed to celebrate and honor the rich history of Bilaspur District by showcasing the inspiring stories of 25 freedom fighters through various engaging programs.

Programs

Poem Competition

As a part of the "Meri Mati Mera Desh" project, we organized the "Common People Se Poem Competition." This program encouraged the local community to express their admiration for the freedom fighters through poetry. The top three contributors were awarded gifts and certificates, fostering a sense of creativity and community involvement.

Chhattisgarh Freedom Fighters

The heart of the project lies in the 25-day program dedicated to broadcasting the stories of 25 remarkable freedom fighters on Apraa Radio. This platform served as a medium to share their heroic tales, struggles, and contributions to the community. Each story was a tribute to the indomitable spirit of those who fought for our nation's independence.

Appreciation Certificates

To recognize the efforts of participants and collaborators, appreciation certificates were distributed. These certificates served as tokens of acknowledgment for the collective contribution to preserving and sharing the history of the freedom fighters.
 

The 25 Freedom Fighters of Bilaspur Division

The project proposed by the Community Radio Association shed light on the lives of 25 extraordinary individuals who played pivotal roles in the struggle for independence. Here are a few glimpses of their contributions: 1. Late Jagannath Prasad Poddar - Punished by foreigners and caste oppressors. 2. Late Jwala Prasad Mishra - Comrade with Bapu in jail. 3. Late Mathura Prasad Dubey - Honored with the title of Constitution Man. 4. Late Chintaram Uttalwar - Made trees information assistants. 5. Late Kashiram Tiwari - Walked with Gandhiji on a jail journey. 6. Late Kishan Lal Chaturvedi - First President of Bilaspur Nagar Congress. 7. Late Bhuvan Bhaskar Singh - Provided shelter to V.V. Giri in Khatauli. 8. Late Sardar Amar Singh Sahgal - Freedom fighter who played cricket against the 11th President. 9. Late Devdutt Bhatt - Received a letter from Bapu delivered by Dr. Rajendra Prasad. 10. Late Lalchand Jain - Ignited the flame of independence in the Sutangarh estate. 11. Late P. Shivdulare Mishra - Hoisted the tricolor in Town Hall in 1943. 12. Late Kalika Prasad Dixit - Whose activities in the independence movement were run from his seat. 13. Late Sundarlal Soni - Dedicated to Gandhi's path, a devoted soul. 14. Late Kunj Bihari Lal Agnihotri - Gifted Bilaspur with the first gift of electricity. 15. Late Bhramar Gupta - A warrior with chains on his hands even during surgery. 16. Late Ramkrishna Pandey - A journalist: not fond of flattery. 17.
