Introduction
In an era where bedtime stories were an integral part of every child's routine, our project "Roz Ek Kahani" aimed to revive this cherished tradition. Recognizing the transformative power of stories on a child's imagination, We Libra Welfare Society initiated a unique project to provide daily audio stories to parents via WhatsApp.
Objective
The primary goal of "Roz Ek Kahani" was to bring back the practice of storytelling before bedtime, fostering a connection between parents and children. The project aimed to counter the modern trend of late-night screen engagement and restore the value of traditional storytelling in nurturing a child's imagination.
Implementation
WhatsApp Story Delivery: The NGO facilitated the availability of a WhatsApp number for 50 parents with children aged 3 to 8. These parents received daily audio stories created by the organization's artists.
Story Creation: The stories were carefully crafted by the NGO's team of artists, ensuring a balance between entertainment and educational content. The narratives aimed to captivate children's minds and instill positive values.
Scaling Up: As the project gained popularity, the number of participating parents increased to 2500, reaching a broader audience and extending the impact of the initiative.
Impact
"Roz Ek Kahani" successfully reintroduced the joy of bedtime storytelling in numerous households. Parents reported positive changes in their children's behavior, highlighting improved sleep patterns and enhanced creativity. The project fostered a sense of connection within families, as parents and children engaged in shared storytelling experiences.
Future Plans
Building on the success of "Roz Ek Kahani," we plans to expand its reach, targeting more parents and children across diverse communities. The project serves as a testament to the organization's commitment to fostering positive childhood experiences and strengthening family bonds through the art of storytelling.
